Our Personal Testimony
Daniel Johnson Brown
I received Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour at the age of sixteen. I had made a profession of faith as a child, but the fruit of a true believer could not be found in my life. In July of 2001, on the Sunday following the Parkview Baptist Church Tent Meeting, my youth director, Chuck Smith, lead me to the Lord. I repented of my sin and placed my faith in Jesus Christ as my Saviour. The following year, the Lord began to work on my heart about yielding my life to Him. During the summer of 2002, as a seventeen year old, I surrendered my life to the Lord. It was at this time the Lord made very clear to me His will for my life. He wanted me to be a preacher. My first sermon was preached at a youth activity, and I have been blessed with opportunities to preach many times since.
I attended Bible College at Crown College of the Bible in Powell, TN. I began in 2003 as a “Youth Ministries” major, but during the second semester of my freshman year I changed my major to “Missions” . It was at Crown College that I met Deana Lea Rogers, my wife to be. We were married on December 10, 2005, and I graduated in May of 2008.
The Lord dealt with my heart during my freshman and sophomore year about starting New Testament churches. Deana and I have had a desire to be involved in church-planting for several years now, but have not had the leading of the Lord to begin such a work. Along with this desire we have had a special interest and burden for the “unreached people groups” of the world. In April of 2011 we had the opportunity to be in Germany for three weeks for a mission trip. During this trip we were able to spend some time in the Principality of Liechtenstein, the people of which could be considered an “unreached people group” . The Lord revealed to us the great need of this small country, and when we returned He made it clear that He would have us go to Liechtenstein as missionaries. With God’s help we will begin our deputation process in September of this year, and want to be in Europe no later than two years from the start of deputation.

I was born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN where my family attended Franklin Road Baptist Church. I praise the Lord for the wonderful Christian family, and influences He has placed in my life. I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour at the age of 10 by my parent’s bedside. I graduated from Franklin Road Christian School in 2001. I then attended Crown College of the Bible and graduated in 2005. The Lord laid the call of mission work on my heart in high school. Therefore my major in college was Missions, with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. God has allowed my family, including my parents and brother, to serve Him in the ministry. Daniel and I have been married for 5 1/2 years, during which the Lord has blessed us with our first child, Micah Johnson Brown, who is one year old. I have so much to thank Christ for, and desire to glorify His name for the rest of my days.
